Ashwagandha
An Ayurvedic that has been used for thousands of years. It's an evergreen herb that commonly grows in Africa & Asia. Being a powerful adaptogen, Ashwagandha enhances the body's resilience to stress, by lowering your levels of cortisol (a hormone produced by your adrenal glands in response to stress). It improves the body's defence against disease by improving cell immunity. It also possesses potent antioxidant properties to prevent cellular damage.
Ashwagandha is available as churna, a fine sieved powder that can be mixed with water, honey or yoghurt. It enhances the function of the brain and nervous system, and improves memory.
Turmeric
Turmeric is an ancient spice that is commonly used in the kitchen. However, Turmeric is considered to be a wonderful spice and is known for its healing properties for ages, a tall plant that grows in Asia and Central America. It is also extremely beneficial as remedy in providing relief from pain and inflammation. It has Curcumin which has anti-inflammatory properties which aid skin health, blood sugar levels, ulcers, wounds & kidney damage. Used topically Turmeric powder helps control skin problems like acne due to its antibacterial nature.
